Exchange launches web-based tool for stock and ETF price data

Startup IEX Group has laid down a challenge to incumbent exchanges by offering a key market data feed for free.

The exchange said on February 22 it has launched a web-based tool that reveals the price at which traders in its marketplace are willing to buy or sell a stock or exchange-traded fund, The Wall Street Journal reports. The feed also shows the last price at which the instrument was traded on the exchange.
