The likely president-elect might not agree, but according to some conservative pundits the probable outcome of the US elections would be the best possible result for Joe Biden.

Had winning the White House been combined with a Democratic majority in the Senate, Biden would have come under huge pressure from the increasingly powerful progressive wing of his party to pursue a radical legislative agenda, probably more radical than such a confirmed moderate would ideally want.
