A new photographic exhibition of prints focusing on The Beatles, showcases some of the most important and iconic images, all of which are for sale. The prints include early days in Hamburg, with portraits by the photographer Astrid Kirchherr, from what is now recognised as their first proper photo session at the Hamburg fun fair. Also on show is Iain MacMillan’s shoot for the iconic Abbey Road album cover.
These rare images include five photographs taken on that day in August 1969, including some showing The Beatles going the other way on that famous zebra crossing. Artist Peter Blake's artwork for the Sergeant Pepper cover is also on show and there are outtakes from the Pepper shoot from Michael Cooper, the photographer who shot the session.
