Generation Investment Management and Impax Asset Management are bucking the trend of underperforming green funds in the UK over the last decade.

London-based Generation, founded by David Blood and Al Gore in November 2004, has enjoyed success by marrying hard-nosed investment expertise to sustainability. In the year to December 2014, its pre-tax profits rose to £58.5 million, against £45.4 mIllion in 2013, according to its most recent accounts filed at Companies House. The firm now manages $12 billion for institutions.
