In brief: Credit Suisse appoints/BNY hires/Luxembourg grows

Giles Keating, formerly co-head of the pensions and advisory structuring group at Credit Suisse First Boston, has been promoted to the new role of global head of research for Credit Suisse Private Banking. He will be responsible for buy-side research on all asset classes and primary research on Swiss fixed income. Simon Ford, Keating's co-head at the pensions and advisory structuring group, founded last October, will take complete control. Keating has been with CSFB for 18 years and has held positions as chief economist and head of fixed income research and economics.
