Gartmore Investment Management has hired Paul Hamilton as consultant relationship director, following the appointment late last year of Shamus Young as head of the firm's global consulting group.

Hamilton was previously at Credit Suisse Asset Management where he was the vice president of institutional marketing and client relationships, specialising in sales in the Nordic region. Prior to this he was an investment consultant at SBJ Benefit consultants.
