Investec Asset Management has promoted Christine Johnson to manage its European High Income Bond Fund.
Johnson joined Investec last year as a high-yield analyst and is currently co-manager of the sterling high income and monthly high income bond funds. Johnson said: "Particularly good opportunities will exist in 'fallen angels' as well as more conventional issues and as the troubled telecoms sector resolves its problems. This means performance should be very good for carefully selected portfolios."
