J O Hambro Investment Management, the private client fund manager, has appointed Patrick Cooper as a director.

Cooper was formerly head of retail at Axa Investment Managers, which he left at the end of last year. He spent three years at Axa, before which he was a director at Morgan Grenfell Investment Funds. Cooper will work with Hugh Grootenhuis to develop private client relationships at J O Hambro.
