In brief: Morgan Stanley Quilter hires/Northern Trust win/Frank Russell mandate

Morgan Stanley Quilter, the private client investment arm of Morgan Stanley, has launched an investment team to be headed by Guy Breeden, executive director at Morgan Stanley. Peter Lowman and Peter Ashton, both formerly of Cazenove Fund Management, have also joined the group as investment managers. Lowman was fund manager for the Cazenove global equity fund and at Morgan Stanley will manage portfolios for international and domestic clients. Ashton, who worked on asset allocation, alternative assets and UK equities at Cazenove, will look after UK clients.
