VPC, the Swedish central securities depository, has selected Cinnober Financial Technology, the Swedish financial technology supplier, to build its central counterparty (CCP) system.

The CCP will be operated within a new, separate company and will be designed to enable future use by other Nordic markets. The project will begin in mid-May and the first deliverables are due in September, in the form of a design study and a prototype.
