Industry rethinks transaction cost analysis

Nearly half of all funds do not know whether they are paying too much for their transactions

Custodians can sometimes get over-excited about products that they believe to be wonderful, but leave their clients completely cold. Master trust was one example where US banks extolled its virtues ad nauseam as UK pension funds yawned and looked the other way.

So will the same fate befall transaction cost analysis (TCA), another imported product from the US that is currently enjoying a lot of publicity?
