Dutch bank ING has begun the first phase of its implementation of the Credient credit risk management system from SunGard Trading and Risk Systems, the SunGard subsidiary.

ING, which chose the system in June 2002, is using it on an application service provider basis. SunGard, which will operate the software for the bank, is hosting Credient for ING in its European SunGard Availability Services computer centres, which provide a fully resilient business continuity service.
