Diversity champion and first female CEO of the 332-year-old insurance market is stepping down

One of the City's most high-profile women and loudest advocates for diversity in UK finance, Inga Beale, is to step down as chief executive of Lloyd's of London next year.

Beale, whose exact leaving date has yet to be announced, became the first female CEO of the 332-year-old insurance and reinsurance market in January 2014.
