Inmarsat goes off like a rocket

Shares in UK satellite operator Inmarsat rose 16% in first dealings on the London Stock Exchange this morning after being priced at 245p, the top of their bookbuilding range. By 09:34 GMT they were changing hands at 284p.

Financial News reported yesterday that demand had been strong enough for the banks to price at the top end. The offer was ten times subscribed.
