Some of the UK’s largest fund groups are seeking fresh blood during a crucial time for a sector that has struggled against slumping fees and profit in recent years.

Schroders, Abrdn and Legal & General Investment Management have all kicked off CEO searches since the start of 2024, creating a rush for senior talent that can steer the industry through a period of extreme change.
