Insight Investments, the asset management arm of HBOS, has hired six new staff for its £6.6bn (€9.7bn) property business.

Verónica Gallo-Alvarez has joined as director of European property from Harbert Management Corporation, the US-based opportunistic investor, where she was vice-president in the European real estate department.
