Insight Investments, the asset management arm of HBOS, has bolstered its equity research capabilities with a series of new hires.

Stuart Collings, formerly a global equity analyst at Axa Investment Managers, joins Insight with responsibility for research on UK mining, chemicals and basic industries. Alan Porter, formerly a European fund manager at Old Mutual Asset Management and Hill Samuel, will focus on European industries.
