Insight Investment, the fund management arm of HBOS, has been hit by the departures of small-cap fund manager Paul Marriage and Japan manager Jeff Atherton.

Marriage has left the group for Cazenove Fund Management while Atherton will join hedge fund Stratton Street Capital. Atherton had been with Insight for a year.
