Insight Investment, the fund management arm of banking group HBOS, has hired Steve Aukett from Schroders to become its senior product specialist for liability-driven investments.

Aukett began his career at Schroders in 1985 as a UK equity fund manager and client director. He became head of multi-asset portfolios in 2000 and went on to head the firm's strategic advice unit.
