Appointment indicates brand's growing integration within its Japanese parent's electronic franchise

Instinet, the global agency broker wholly owned by Nomura, has appointed one of the Japanese bank's co-global heads of electronic trading as its new European chief executive, in a sign of the brand's growing integration within its parent's electronic franchise.

Adam Toms, a managing director and co-global head of electronic trading at Nomura, has been appointed as the chief executive of Instinet Europe, the broker said in a statement today.
