UK-listed mezzanine capital provider Intermediate Capital Group has hired three partners from AlpInvest, Europe's largest investor in private equity, for its first office in the US, which opened yesterday.

The New York-based team will be led by Jason Block, who left AlpInvest where he was a partner responsible for mezzanine investments. ICG has also hired Gerald Chaney and Charles Rosse from AlpInvest.
