Royal Bank of Scotland has become the latest UK bank to issue a bullish trading statement for the year, reporting strong revenue growth in its corporate markets division on the back of "excellent progress" internationally.
RBS' corporate markets arm comprises international and UK-focused units and was set up at the start of this year under chief executive Johnny Cameron. The bank said in a pre-close trading update today: "Corporate markets is achieving strong growth in income across its full range of activities, while continuing to invest in people and technology.
