Fund manager Invesco has appointed Hugh Ward as chief executive officer of the newly created UK business division, which brings together Invesco's four London-based fund management operations.

Ward, whose appointment is subject to regulatory approval, will report directly to Michael Benson, chief executive of Invesco Global. Ward said: 'Invesco has grown very rapidly in the last four years and Michael Benson needs to spend more time focusing on the business internationally.'
