Invesco trio to launch healthcare hedge fund

Three investment specialists have left Invesco Funds Group, the US fund manager owned by London and New York-listed Amvescap, to form a hedge fund focusing on healthcare stocks.

A spokeswoman for Invesco confirmed that the group had lost Andy Summers, who co-managed a $2.5bn (€2bn) healthcare fund for the firm; Kevin Reeder, a healthcare analyst; and Rich Carney, a financial services analyst.
