Investec Bank (UK), part of South African banking group Investec, has acquired European Capital, a UK-based financial advisory and capital-raising group.

European Capital was set up 11 years ago, with a staff of 15. The group works on project finance and corporate finance deals in the capital goods, infrastructure and utility sectors. The corporate finance business focuses mainly on acquisitions and restructuring of investments in the infrastructure sector.
