Ricardo, the engineering and green tech company, has appointed Investec as joint adviser and sole broker. The LSE-listed consultant, which has a market cap of £186m, was previously with the Royal Bank of Scotland. David Currie, head of investment banking at Investec, said "Coming so quickly after Investec's acquisition of Evolution, our appointment by Ricardo represents an encouraging start to 2012. These are turbulent times but we are confident that Investec is now better positioned that ever to win mid-market mandates for our high quality broking and corporate advisory services."
