Investec hires Jefferies’ Marc Potel to lead industrials M&A

The South Africa-headquartered investment bank has more than quadrupled M&A headcount in five years

Investec has tapped Jefferies' head of European industrials to lead its M&A coverage of the sector in Europe, the latest London hire at the South Africa-headquartered bank.

Marc Potel has joined Investec as head of industrial M&A, according to a statement from the bank. He was latterly head of general industrials in Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Jefferies, having joined from Nomura in 2017.
