The Investment Association, the trade body representing the UK’s fund management sector, has named State Street Investment Management’s Ann Prendergast as its new chair.

Prendergast, who is head of State Street Investment Management’s business across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, will succeed Patrick Thomson who is stepping down after three years in the role.
