Newton Investment Management chief executive Helena Morrissey formally took over as chairman of the Investment Management Association at its recent annual meeting, but she was not the only senior industry figure to join the board of the trade body.
Morrissey succeeded Douglas Ferrans as chairman of the IMA at the end of June, but was formally handed the role at the group's annual meeting last week, where Robert Talbut, chief investment officer of Royal London Asset Management, and Mark Armour, chief executive of Invesco Perpetual and head of Invesco's Emea business, were also added to the board of the IMA.
