Investor-friendly bond language set to spread

European credit analysts are predicting that credit-sensitive coupon language, which has become a feature of debt issuance in the telecom, water and airline sectors, will spread to other sectors of the bond market.

Credit-sensitive coupons are designed to protect investors from credit deterioration. The coupon payments rise or fall if a borrower's ratings are lowered or raised.
