Investors are buying more than selling, says survey

Investors in stocks and shares are still buying more often than they sell, according to the latest ComPeer quarterly survey of private client stockbroking and fund management in the UK.

In the second quarter more than 4 million individual trades were transacted for private investors, which is a 30% increase in the year on year figures for what is generally the slowest quarter of the year. However, the number of online share deals plummeted by a third in the same period.
