Investors cool on Walker’s bank reforms

Reforms to bank boards and the disclosure of senior bankers’ pay, proposed this summer by Government adviser Sir David Walker, have split London’s shareholder community. Some say they do not go far enough, while others are against the most radical proposals.

Walker's 39 recommendations for corporate governance at banks and other systemically important financial institutions were published on July 16, with a consultation on the ideas running until this Thursday, October 1.
