Investors dropping out of sector

International investors cut their allocations to hedge funds by 14% to $1.2bn (€1.1bn) between April and June and more than doubled investments in the safest alternative strategies, according to a new survey.

The findings, from LJH Global Investments in association with Reuters, highlight a change in investor appetite triggered by the relatively quick end to the war in Iraq and signs that the US economy appears to be in good health.
