Investors dump Latin America in favour of Asia

Emerging market and global equity funds have ploughed nearly $8bn (€6.9bn) into Asian stocks so far this year at the expense of Latin American equities, which have witnessed net selling to the tune of $1.5bn.

The activity in the Emerging European, Middle East and Africa region has been flat in the aggregate, as buying in South Africa and Israel has been counterbalanced by selling of Russian and Hungarian equities, according to data from EmergingPortfolio.com Fund Research.
