Investors losing $6bn a year in unreclaimed tax

More than $6bn (€6bn) is lost each year by investors who fail to reclaim withholding tax on cross-border securities, according to a new report by Goal, a software company that develops tax solutions to financial institutions.

The report estimates that only 73% of withheld tax is actually reclaimed from foreign tax authorities each year.
