Investors put record $53bn into emerging market bond funds

Inflows into emerging market bond funds have surged in recent weeks, bringing the total for the year to the end of July to a record $53.3bn, according to data provider EPFR Global.

Investors were attracted by the relatively high yields in an environment of  persistently low interest rates, writes Carolyn Cui for The Wall Street Journal.
