Investors reduce exposure to buyout funds

Capital raised by private equity funds in the first half of this year is expected to be higher than in the same period last year despite investors decreasing their exposure to buyout funds as deal activity has slowed down.

Globally, 355 vehicles raised $314bn (€200bn) in the first six months of this year, similar to the $321bn raised in the same time last year, according to provisional data from Preqin, a research provider.
