Investors retain long-term confidence in US

Two-thirds of institutional investors in US equities plan to retain or increase their allocation to the region over the next 18 months, according to data compiled by public relations firm Cubitt Consulting.

A survey among 30 institutions, which together account for 20% of the City of London's investment in the US, found that most were intending to increase their US allocation, despite a series of accounting scandals and investigations that have rocked the market.
