Policymakers and investors shouldn't abandon efforts to limit rising global temperature to 1.5°C when they meet at COP28 later this month, Morningstar's ESG research chief has warned.

Speaking at a roundtable on 9 November, Hortense Bioy, global director of sustainability research, said tweaking the net-zero commitment — originally established under the Paris Agreement — would send the wrong signal at the UN's green summit that kicks off on 30 November.
