Investors wary of equity markets

Fund managers say they are taking a more cautious approach to prospects for equity markets this year than they did 12 months ago. But most are still expecting stock markets to rise during 2003.

Their caution is based on worries about global geopolitical uncertainty, housing markets in the US and UK, Japan's need for restructuring and Germany's economic problems threatening to drag down Europe.
