Total Invista Real Estate, the property arm of listed fund manager Insight Investment, has notched up a total £9.9bn (€15bn) in assets under management after it won a residential mandate for the Wellcome Trust, the UK's biggest charity.

Invista said it regards the residential property sector as a key growth area for its business, unusually for a UK real estate manager. Invista said the £325m brief "demonstrated confidence in the long-term prospects" of the sector.
