The global super-regulator for financial markets is to launch a probe into bond market liquidity following the worldwide market sell-off in March triggered by the start of the coronavirus pandemic.

It is the second time the International Organisation of Securities Commissions has looked into the resilience of the bond market, having published a report in 2017 on liquidity in the secondary corporate bond market.
