The IPO survey - have you helped?

Fund managers, bankers, issuers, advisers - who is to blame for the UK's IPO market's stumbles? Financial News is today embarking on a far-reaching survey, and we need your help

A blame game has raged in the City of London in recent weeks and months over who is responsible for failings within the initial public offering market in the UK since the start of the year. Financial News has decided to throw open the floor with a far-reaching survey and find out what the problem really is and how it can be overcome.

A certain level of discontent has existed for many years, but it hit headlines again after several flotations were pulled before making it to market this year and the majority of those that made it to the exchange traded below their issue price. All parties in deals have agreed the IPO process can be improved, but none - so far - have agreed on how.
