Isis Capital, the private equity arm of Friends Ivory & Sime, the asset management firm, has hired Pete Clarke as a director of new investments, to set up an office in the north of England.

Clarke will be in charge of new investments in the northern region, based at a new office which he will establish in Manchester. Until the office opens in September, he will be based in Birmingham.
