Islamic Bank IPO short by half

The European Islamic Investment Bank, the UK's first ever Sharia compliant investment bank, raised less than half the amount of money it was targeting from its London initial public offering and failed to find a UK investor.

The bank had targeted proceeds of up to £200m (€294m) from its flotation, but only managed to get £75m, all of which came from Gulf-based investors.
