Italian style leaves Deutsche Börse standing

The intense rivalry between stock exchanges has usually focused on the more arcane: which has the best trading systems, the greatest number of members or the highest trading volume? But a new survey has raised the competition stakes between Werner Seifert, chief executive of Deutsche Börse, and Massimo Capuano, head of the smaller but more stylish Borsa Italiana.

Seifert is renowned for his love of motors and has an impressive collection of British sports cars. Like most Italian men, Capuano also loves cars – preferably fast, red sporty numbers.
