Alibaba founder Jack Ma has made his first public appearance since Chinese authorities cracked down on his business in October.

Ma’s absence from public life over the past few months triggered speculation as to his whereabouts. His disappearance followed a speech he gave on 24 October, in which he said China’s financial system was outdated, stifling innovation and needed to be reformed.
