Fierce bidding at the inaugural Vintage at Goodwood Festival this weekend drove an E-type 1962 Jaguar to its high estimate of £60,000 (€73,000), the biggest pricetag realised at the auction.

The sale, which celebrates all that is cool and iconic from the period 1940-1990, saw top prices paid for the a 1962 Jaguar E-type Series 1 at £60,000, after an estimate of £54,000 to £60,000, and a 1961 Jaguar Mk2, which sold for £25,200.
