The chief executive of US brokerage Cantor Fitzgerald's business in Europe, which has suffered a series of loss-making years, is leaving the group.

James Rowsell, who joined in early 2012 as chief executive officer of Cantor Fitzgerald Europe, is in the process of leaving the firm, according to a person familiar with the matter.
