Janus Henderson Investors, the fund management group, has hired Alex Barr from Aberdeen Standard Investments to bolster its UK multi-asset and alternatives team, the latest in a series of moves in the hot alternatives sector.

Barr, who will join the company in July, will co-manage a number of its multi-asset alternatives funds, including the Henderson Alternative Strategies Trust alongside James de Bunsen and Peter Webster.
